The Alleyway
This piece was done using acrylic paint. It represents how living conditions were during the Victorian Era, which were poor. This piece was a real challenge for me, because landscapes are new to me. I chose the colors to symbolize how bleak living in poverty was during this time.
Medical Lies
The main medium used for this piece is India Ink and a dip pen. I wanted this piece to resemble an old Victorian Medical diagram to symbolize how poor medical care was then. Originally, this piece was a still life of a skull diagram, but as it took shape I changed it.
Callie Matthews
This is a watercolor portrait of my friend. I did in Junior year.
Lover's Eye
This piece was done in oil. The Victorians used to keep lockets with a small portrait of their lover's eye, and I wanted to show that.
Dr. Fish
This was an original character created by me. He is a fish, and he has the body of a human. I wanted to draw him in a tuxedo. This piece was done digitally.
Self Portrait
This is a digital stylized self portrait.
Tuberculosis
This piece was inspired by Victorian tuberculosis fashion. It was done digitally.
Capricorn
This is my depiction of what the Zodiac sign Capricorn looks like. Personally, I feel very connected to the sign because I am a Capricorn. This painting was done in acrylic on wood.
